June 2020 - ESQUIMALT – On a foggy Thursday morning, a group of artists can be seen spread out across the grass at Esquimalt’s Saxe Point Park. They’re practicing the method of painting en plein air, meaning painting outdoors.

Walkable garden and art tour in Esquimalt to feature over 40 artists

July 18, 2021 - The second annual Esquimalt Community Arts Hub art market tour returns on Aug. 7.

Featuring more than 45 artists in urban farms and gardens, the event works similar to a crawl, where participants receive a walkable map, moving from property to property to view a variety of unique art pieces along the way.

Mural festival to take over Esquimalt buildings

August 1, 2021 - Esquimalt’s first mural festival will run Aug. 15 to 29 in an effort to attract more public art and boost tourism.

The Esquimalt Mural Festival, organized by the Esquimalt Community Arts Hub, will feature five murals painted on private buildings during the festival to celebrate the township’s community and identity.

Esquimalt Urban Arts Tour this Saturday features 45 artists

August 7, 2021 - The Esquimalt Community Arts Hub invites art lovers to partake in its outdoor Esquimalt Urban Arts Tour this Saturday (Aug. 7).

Participants can visit local art displaysLa Esquimalt Community Arts Hub (ECAH) tiendra cette fin de semaine son événement annuel Urban Arts Tour dans les rues du quartier. Elle invite pour l’occasion le public à visiter différentes oeuvres d’art réalisées par des artistes de la communauté. at various urban farms and gardens around the Township of Esquimalt from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 30 designated stops and 45 artists are included in the tour, which requires no registration and can be done on foot, on bike or by car.
